These wild mushrooms were hard won by the owners of Deep Woods Mushrooms of Mills River. The ramps farmer farther down the row at the Transylvania Farmers Market said he had worn out two pairs of boots looking for them himself, but as everybody’s sayin’ “things are late this year”. So, we took the advice from the mushroom grower and bought the ramps and then the pork chops from the same “boot worn out” vendor without a sign or card. You’ll find ’em. Good eatin y’all.
