It’s a quick, easy walk to the falls. So, when you see the sign that says Daniel Ridge Loop nearby you think, hmmm, let’s take a nice little walk. It all starts out pleasantly enough with deep woods, soft earthy trails, a couple of bridges and stream crossings. But, all of a sudden, you are jolted back from your lulled state with what seems to be an endless uphill, rocky, washed out, test of the human will against nature. Or, are we just wimps??? Anyway, three hours later we were spit out the other side of that supposed short loop. Thank goodness we were prepared with the right clothing, shoes and supplies. Next on the shopping list, a good map!
