The Old Stone Store has evolved into a musical venue according to David Orr, whose wife’s family used to own the iconic old place. It closed in the mid 1990’s due to modern regulations. Pesky things like heat and upgrading of electricity just didn’t seem to make sense with declining customers and increasing competition. So, if it’s not too cold, the last night for the bluegrass jam this year is Tuesday October 28th at 7 p.m. Mr. Orr says they have been getting a good crowd and that you might want to bring your own chair. Forty people showed up last week and they have 38 chairs on hand. Admission is free and so is soda and water ’til it runs out. Mr. Orr says if you need to know anything else, just please stop by and have a chat with him on Cascade Lake Rd. just off Crab Creek. See you there!
